New Decade, New Year, New Challenges?

New Decade, New Year, New Challenges?

As another decade rushes in we thought it would be a good time to start a series of what we’ve got on during the year ahead along with some insights as to what we want to achieve  and how we are evolving as a responsible, longstanding business working sympathetically in the magnificent outdoor arena that we have access to in the Southwest of England

Are you looking for an exhilarating challenge coupled with incredible scenery and beautiful vistas?

It's wild, punishing, invigorating and you can experience it all in one day on the
North Atlantic Cornwall Coast.

For 2020 we have 3 different Cornwall coastal events for you to test yourself against.

On the 25th April 2020 for 1 day the North Coast Ultra 60k to Bude or 100k to Hartland on the North Devon Coast. Starting from the very popular Rock near Padstow.

A recent reconnaissance of the course during January has shown this is going to be one very tough event over the constantly undulating terrain in the area.

9th October sees the start of the now well established Atlantic Coast Challenge - 76.8 miles over 3 days from Trevose Head near Padstow to Lands End. Now in it's 16th year the event continues to challenge and reward people with the achievement of 3 marathons in 3 days.

You can choose to do just 1 day of the 3 for the experience and come back in other years to complete the task.

A special package offer for entry and accommodation is available at the St Ives Holiday Park which is the event base and is currently bookable online.  Make sure you get in quick as this event attracts large numbers!

Running on the 10th October is the Atlantic Ultra 40k Newquay to Hayle, Ideal for those who can only give up one day.

Our events offer a new locally sourced and produced medal (more on this in the next couple of blogs) an event T Shirt,  well stocked check points and safety cover.

For the entirety of 2020 we are pleased to announce that Geo Tracks will be supporting the event. The GPS trackers are a great navigational aid and it means that friends, family, supporters or your work colleagues stuck behind their desks(!)  can live track you online. Check out the website at www.geotracks.co.uk

We know there aren't many events out there that have a checkpoint in such a unique location as this.

Still not sure? Then we even have a training plan to help you prepare yourself for any of the events.

Corporate or club groups welcome. Come and share the experience with your friends and clubmates.

Come and join us in 2020 in North Cornwall, you won’t regret it!

One of the great reasons to get into trail running is all the beautiful places that you get to train and challenge yourself in, and for many, this means the wilder the better. Nowadays, we have a plethora of digital navigation tools at our fingertips which offer downloadable maps and GPS so we can find our way in the wilderness. But smartphones are often useless out in the sticks: Batteries die, screens break, signal fades.

With a triathlon and a long swim to do before the summer sun is at its peak, it is always an early start for the Salty Sea Dog Events.

The second Salty Sea Dog Triathlon of the summer was a great success with a full start line for the sea swim at 7am this morning. With the sun rising over Boscombe Pier the triathletes kicked off the Sprint and Super Sprint together on the sand; heading into 20*C water for the first leg of the event.
